Mo’ channels, mo’ conversions…

26 02 2013

Over the past 12 months, m-commerce has grown at an exponential rate.  Retailers can significantly increase their sales by MoPowered1opening up this new channel, enticing browsers and allowing them to access a mobile optimised site on the go.

A user-friendly mobile shopping experience converts mobile browsers into buyers, whilst the checkout process should be as slick and quick as possible guaranteeing mobile sales.

According to our 2013 e-Business Benchmark report, 73% of large retailers currently have a mobile optimised site and 22% are seeing between 10-19% of their overall revenue coming in via this channel.

One of our partners, mobile commerce specialist MoPowered, understands the power of mobile and is helping online businesses to realise this by providing the functionality to develop a mobile optimised site quickly, securely and cost effectively.

MoPOwered’s Channel Director Richard Jolly told me. “Consumer trends continue to show huge increases in the adoption and use of smartphones to shop and spend online. By launching a mobile-optimised website, retailers can increase online sales significantly and also engage customers in a fresh and unique way, meeting shoppers’ needs with a fully-integrated, mobile shopping experience.”

“Our partnership with Sage Pay will enable Sage Pay merchants to integrate onto the rapidly growing mobile channel as seamlessly and securely as possible”.

Because of the mobile increase. I have had to review my site to make it mobile friendly. With mobile screens getting bigger people are using them more like a pc than a phone.
