We’re helping online businesses hit the road to success

26 11 2010

With over 41m online shoppers in the UK, the opportunity the internet brings for business is huge.  But with over 1.5 million SME’s without a website, are you making the most of what online has to offer?

Over the last year we’ve been working alongside Google, e-skills UK, BT and others to help small businesses get up and running online.  The initiative, Getting British Business Online, is aimed at getting 100,000 businesses trading online by the end of 2010.  With the results soon to be announced, if your business is not yet online, now’s your chance.

Businesses that sign up to GBBO will be given a free .co.uk web address that will be automatically registered in Googles search engine and a new ‘wizard’ tool that will help them create a website in 20 minutes.  Alongside this, we are offering 3 months free processing to enable you to take payments from your customers.

We’re really excited to find out the results of the initiative.  In the new year we’ll be bringing you some of the success stories from the Getting British Business Online campaign so if you want to be one of them, sign up now!

Get my business online

I won’t say no to 3 months free processing!

The New My Sage Pay

19 11 2010

Hi all,

Since the release of the new My Sage Pay interface, we’ve had loads of feedback, some good, some bad but all constructive.  We know we’ve got plenty of your requests to be getting on with so I thought I’d put up a list of the feedback we’ve had and keep it updated with what’s been done and what we’re working on.  You can check here to get the latest information on our progress.

This list is certainly not exhaustive and we will add to it when further feedback is brought to our attention.  Due to the nature of the work being undertaken, we have had to prioritise in order of what requests are most popular and what is having the greatest impact on customers business.  If you have a comment you would like to bring to our attention and do not see it in this list, please let us know!

Remember Remember….Sage Pay Partners in November!

12 11 2010

This month I’ve been catching up with all the latest gossip from the celebrity world.  I’m not usually a fan of gossip rags but every once in a while, a girl needs to have her update of scandal.  Reading all the celebrity news has got me thinking about famous partnerships-David and Victoria, Katy and Russell, Sage Pay and …

With this in mind, this month’s Business of the Month is slightly different.  Over the year we have celebrated many companies from large well established businesses to small start-ups for their innovative products, great customer service or simple and efficient back office systems.

While these businesses are all worthy winners, we’ve noticed that some of you are feeling neglected.  So this month we’re bringing you Business Partner of the Month!

Our partners are absolutely essential to what we do and they play a huge part in bringing in businesses to us and helping them get set up with Sage Pay as their payment gateway.

Development Company Ebizmarts is one of these partners and they’re about to launch a new extension for Magento’s open source ecommerce platform which includes all of our very latest payment technology, from InFrame to the soon-to-be-(officially)-released Token system. With a multiple choice configuration form, merchants can select a variety of functionalities and create a ‘tailor-made’ integration suited to their individual needs.  This extension differs from the previous modules as it supports all the latest Sage Pay integration in a single package rather than separate packages and complete PayPal support will be added by the end of the month .  The new payment module, which is currently being tested by some of Ebizmart’s largest clients, will be released in the next few weeks, but I’ve had a sneak peak.

One of the things I love about Ebizmarts is that being as on top of all our latest functionalities as they are, you’d expect them to be based down the road from us in WC1 and pop in for monthly meetings with our Channel Manager John.  But they’re based just about as far away as they could be.  Uruguay in fact.  So it just goes to show, out of sight is not always out of mind!

Congratulations on being November’s ‘Business Partner of the Month!  Your award is on its way to you-although it may take some time to get there!
